Who is eligible for this plate?
Any veteran who has been declared 70% (or more) disabled by the Veterans Administration and has received financial aid from the Veterans Administration toward the purchase or lease of a motor vehicle.

Steps Required:
Provide the County Clerk documentation from the Veterans Administration certifying that he/she is 70% (or more) disabled, and documentation showing proof of the financial aid from the Veterans Administration.

Remarks:
This plate may be issued to any 6,000 lb. commercial truck or passenger vehicle owned, leased or provided by an employer. Once the veteran receives the financial aid for the veteran's administration toward the purchase or lease of a motor vehicle, the veteran is entitled to obtain a disabled veteran plate for any subsequent vehicle. Also, (1) one handicapped placard may be issued to this person for an $8.00 fee. Any person who does not have a veteran or parking plate may obtain (2) two handicapped parking placards, the first one for $8.00 and the second one for $4.00. A minimum of $5.00 may be donated to the Veterans Trust Fund at the time of renewal. This type of plate is issued every five years, and will be replaced in the year 2003 and every 5th year after.
