Any current member of the Kentucky National Guard or retired member with twenty (20) years of service

Steps Required:
Submit proof of current service or proof of twenty (20) years prior service for retired members to the County Clerk. To personalize these plates submit an application along with $25.00 to the county clerk by September 1st of the year preceding the registration year.

Remarks:
If the vehicle has a "regular" registration plate, that plate must be turned in to the County Clerk. Credit will be given for any months remaining on the "regular" registration. The initial fee is a "one-time" fee and is not charged a second time even if the guardsman does not purchase his/her plate for one or more years. The personalized plate cannot conflict with the state number/letter system nor be offensive to good taste and decency. The customer has the option of ordering a "new" plate each year or renewing with a decal only. $5.00 of the initial fee goes to the fund and at renewal time, the individual has the option of donating a minimum of $5.00 to the fund. Maximum number of characters for this plate is five (5).
